It is the live backlog gauge that tells you whether dispatch is keeping pace with demand. The alert compares the live count against a rolling 30-day average of the same backlog, firing when the current queue exceeds twice that baseline. ## Worked example *A representative reading of **Pending Shipment** for a typical merchant on Fruugo. Imagine a merchant whose 30-day average backlog sits around 18 open orders, then the live count jumps to 47, tripping the 2x alert (illustrative figures). No SLA has been breached yet, which is the point of watching the backlog rather than the misses. Clearing the queue early keeps those two healthy. **Q: Can I change the 2x average alert threshold?** Yes. The 2x-of-30-day-average default is configurable, both the multiple and the baseline window.
