## What it tracks

PostNord operates as a single postal group across Sweden and Denmark with strong reach into Norway and Finland, and most merchant contracts are written as a blended pan-Nordic tariff rather than four separate per-country rates. That blend is convenient but it hides the underlying economics: an SE-to-SE domestic parcel is far cheaper to move than an SE-to-NO cross-border parcel that crosses a customs frontier (Norway is outside the EU), and SE-to-FI lanes carry their own surcharges. This card takes the billed or estimated shipping cost on each shipment, groups by destination country from the recipient address, and plots the average per-parcel cost as a horizontal bar per country. The gap between the cheapest and most expensive bar is the cross-subsidy your blended contract is masking. Use it to renegotiate, to set country-specific free-shipping thresholds, or to decide whether a cheaper sibling carrier (Bring, DPD) wins a particular lane. ## Reconciling against the source

Reconcile against your PostNord invoice (the monthly itemised billing file) and the PostNord Portal shipment history grouped by destination country, or pull billed amounts from the PostNord Business Customer API. Invoiced cost is the source of truth; our figure may use the booked or rated cost where the invoice has not yet settled, and surcharges (fuel, customs handling) can land on a later invoice line, so a recent-period figure can rise once final billing arrives.
