# High-Cost Shipment Outliers, Sendle

## At a glance

> A table of the individual Sendle parcels in the trailing 7 days that cost more than twice your average parcel, broken down row by row. These are the despatch-spend leaks worth chasing one by one: an oversized item, a misweighed parcel, a manual rate override, or a far-zone destination that should have been priced or surcharged differently at checkout. The alert fires on any parcel that comes in at more than 2 times the period average.

## What it tracks

The card computes the average booked cost across all Sendle parcels in the 7-day window, then lists every parcel whose cost exceeds twice that average. Each row is one shipment, read from `GET /api/orders`, typically showing the Sendle reference, destination zone, product code, billed weight or cube, and the cost itself. Because Sendle is flat-rate-by-zone, a true outlier almost always means one of three things: the parcel fell into a higher weight or volumetric band than expected, it was sent to a far or regional zone at the higher flat rate, or a manual override was applied at booking. The 7-day window keeps the list short and actionable rather than a backlog. Work the rows top-down: confirm the weight and dimensions against the actual item, check whether the destination should carry a checkout surcharge, and decide whether the SKU is structurally too expensive to ship at its current price point. Match any row against the parcel's line on the [Sendle Dashboard](https://www.sendle.com/) **Orders** detail and the corresponding billing invoice to confirm the weight, zone, and final charge; carrier-local booking timestamps mean a parcel near a day boundary can sit in a different day than the dashboard shows.
