# Inactive / Suspended Listings, Target Plus

> Inactive / Suspended Listings for Target Plus stores. Tracked live in Vortex IQ Nerve Centre. How to read it, why it matters, and how to act on it.

**Card class:** [Hero](/nerve-centre/overview#card-classes-explained) • **Category:** [Listing Health](/nerve-centre/connectors#connectors-by-type)

## At a glance

> **Inactive / Suspended Listings** counts the catalogue items that are no longer live on Target Plus, either because they have gone inactive or because Target's curation team has suspended them. On an invite-only, manually curated marketplace, a suspended listing stops selling the instant it is flagged and usually points to a compliance, brand-presentation, or feed-import problem. Because Target periodically reviews partner status using SLA and presentation signals, a rising count here is an early warning worth clearing fast. Treat any non-zero value as a queue of revenue you are not earning.

| | |
| --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **What it counts** | The number of Target Plus listings currently in an inactive or Target-suspended state. |
| **Sample type** | Backend API data from Target Plus, refreshed on the standard data refresh. |
| **Why it matters** | Suspended listings sell nothing and often signal a compliance or feed issue that, left unresolved, can erode partner status. |
| **Reading the value** | Higher is worse. Zero is the healthy target; any positive number is a work queue. |
| **Currency** | `count` |
| **Time window** | `RT` |
| **Alert trigger** | `>0` |
| **Sentiment key** | `tgt_inactive_listings` |
| **Roles** | owner, operations |

## Calculation

Vortex IQ reads each listing's current status from the Target Plus backend and counts those marked inactive or suspended. Listings that Target's curation team has pulled for brand-presentation or policy reasons are included alongside items that have lapsed into an inactive state. The value is a real-time snapshot rather than a period total, so it reflects the catalogue exactly as it stands at the last refresh. Because suspensions frequently trace back to a rejected Mirakl feed line or a presentation flag, the count often moves in step with those upstream signals. See the worked example below for how a single feed regression can light this card up.

## Worked example

*A representative reading of **Inactive / Suspended Listings** for a typical Target Plus partner.*

On 18 Jun 26 a homewares partner saw this card jump from 0 to 14 overnight. Their morning feed push had changed a size attribute format across one product line, and Target suspended the 14 affected listings pending a corrected presentation. Those 14 SKUs represented roughly 6% of the partner's Target Plus revenue, so every hour they sat suspended was lost sales plus a small ding against the presentation signals Target watches. The partner corrected the attribute, re-pushed the feed, and the count fell back to 0 within two refreshes. Vortex Mind traced the spike to the specific feed change so the team knew exactly what to roll back, and Ask Viq answered "which listings are suspended and why" in plain English without anyone digging through the portal.

## Sibling cards merchants should reference together

| Card | Why merchants reach for it |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [`active-listings`](/nerve-centre/kpi-cards/target-plus/active-listings) | The healthy counterpart, so you can see live versus parked at a glance. |
| [`total-listings`](/nerve-centre/kpi-cards/target-plus/total-listings) | Puts the inactive count in context against the full catalogue size. |
| [`brand-presentation-compliance-flags`](/nerve-centre/kpi-cards/target-plus/brand-presentation-compliance-flags) | A common upstream cause of suspensions on a curated marketplace. |
| [`rejected-listings-mirakl-import-errors`](/nerve-centre/kpi-cards/target-plus/rejected-listings-mirakl-import-errors) | Feed-import failures often precede a listing going inactive or suspended. |
| [`stale-listings-180d-no-update`](/nerve-centre/kpi-cards/target-plus/stale-listings-180d-no-update) | Long-neglected listings are prime candidates to drift inactive. |

## Reconciling against Target Plus Partners

**Where to look in the Target Plus Partners portal:** Open the listing status view in the Partners portal and filter for inactive and suspended states. Cross-check any suspended items against the Mirakl feed import logs and the partner scorecard's presentation section, since Target usually records a reason there when it pulls a listing.

**Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ:**

| Reason | Direction | What to do |
| ---------------------------------- | -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Period boundary or refresh timing | Either | Compare at the same moment; the card is a real-time snapshot that may lead or lag a manual portal view by one refresh. |
| Time zone offset on status changes | Either | Confirm whether the portal is showing your local zone or Target's when a suspension was applied. |
| Filter scope (status definitions) | Vortex IQ may differ | Check whether the portal view bundles "pending review" with suspended; align the filter to match the card's definition. |

**Cross-connector reconciliation:** Where a suspension stems from a SKU that is out of stock on your BigCommerce source of truth, confirm the stock state in the BigCommerce admin so you fix the cause, not just the symptom.

## Known limitations / merchant FAQs

**Q: How often does this number update?**
It refreshes on the standard Vortex IQ data refresh, so it reflects the catalogue as of the most recent pull rather than the live second-by-second state.

**Q: Why does the Partners portal show a different count?**
The portal may group pending-review items with suspended ones, or show changes in a different time zone. Align the status filter and the comparison moment and the two should converge.

**Q: How does this relate to the sibling cards?**
Suspensions are frequently downstream of feed rejections or presentation flags, so this card tends to move with `rejected-listings-mirakl-import-errors` and `brand-presentation-compliance-flags`.

**Q: Can I change the alert threshold?**
Yes. The default fires above zero, but you can adjust the sensitivity for this card on the Sensitivity tab if you prefer a higher trigger point.
