# Install and get started with SEO & GEO Agent

> Install the app, go through the welcome steps, add the browser extension and connect Google Analytics.

This page takes you from installing the app to being ready for your first test.

## What you need

* A Shopify store, and permission to install apps on it.
* Chrome on a computer, for AI visibility tests and content research. Everything else works in any browser the Shopify admin supports.
* A Google Analytics property, if you want to see AI visits. This is optional.

## Set up the app

**1. Install from Shopify**

Install the app and approve the permissions Shopify asks for. The app opens in your Shopify admin.

**2. Go through the welcome steps**

The welcome steps introduce your sales, AI testing, content planning, store fixes and Sidekick. They show once, until you finish them.

**3. Install the VortexIQ extension**

On the **Install the VortexIQ extension** step, add the extension to Chrome. The app detects it, then asks you to allow this app in the extension. You accept once, on the extension's own page.

**4. Connect Google Analytics**

On the **Sign in with Google Analytics** step, sign in and choose your property. You can skip this and connect later in [Settings](https://docs.vortexiq.ai/vortex-apps/seo-geo-agent/settings.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> The welcome steps are best done on a computer, because the extension runs in desktop Chrome.
