The Settings page at /v2/settings is the central control surface for your Vortex IQ workspace. Six tabs cover everything from team identity and billing to which data sources are connected, how they refresh, and what tone the AI uses when generating content. Changes made here flow into every module—Nerve Centre, Vortex Mind, Ask Viq, Actions, and Vortex Apps all read from Settings.

The Account tab manages your workspace identity and team membership.Organisation details
- Workspace name — the display name shown across the UI and in exported reports.
- Workspace type — Merchant or Agency. Changing this type requires contacting support.
Your Profile
- Full name, email address, role, and timezone. Timezone affects scheduled report delivery times and Data Refresh cadence display.
Team Members
- Invite a new member by entering their email address and selecting a role. They receive a magic-link invitation.
- Change a member’s role by selecting their row and choosing a new role from the dropdown.
- Remove a member by selecting Remove on their row. Their data and history remain in the workspace; only access is revoked.
Only Admins and Owners can invite or remove team members. See Workspace Admin for the full roles reference. The Subscription tab shows your current plan, billing details, invoice history, and payment methods.
- Plan overview — active features and connector limits for your current plan.
- Billing details — company name and billing address used on invoices.
- Invoice history — download past invoices as PDF.
- Payment methods — add or replace a credit card. Changes take effect on the next billing cycle.
- Upgrade / Downgrade — select a new plan tier. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
The Connected Sources tab is the integrations catalogue. Every connector you add here populates Nerve Centre with KPI cards and becomes queryable by Ask Viq and Vortex Mind.Connect a new sourceOpen Connected Sources
Go to Settings → Connected Sources. You’ll see all currently connected sources and an Add Source button.
Search or browse the catalogue
Use the search bar or browse by archetype (Ad Platforms, Commerce, Payments, Fulfilment, CRM, Analytics, Email, Monitoring, CMS, ERP).
Authenticate
Select your connector. Most sources use OAuth—click Connect and complete the authorisation in the pop-up. Credential-based sources (API key, client ID/secret) show a form instead.
Select properties
For connectors that support multiple properties (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads), select which accounts or properties to import. You can add more properties later without re-authenticating.
Save
Click Save. An initial data pull begins immediately. Nerve Centre cards for that connector become available once the first pull completes (typically 2–10 minutes).
Manage existing connections| Action | How |
|---|
| Add properties to an existing OAuth token | Click the connector → Add Property |
| Re-authorise an expired token | Click the connector → Reconnect |
| Disconnect a source | Click the connector → Disconnect — removes the connector and its cards |
| View last sync time | Shown on each connector row |
Disconnecting a source removes its Nerve Centre cards and makes that data unavailable to Ask Viq. Vortex Memory archives are not deleted—historical report runs remain accessible.
Profiles group your connected sources into a named business context. The Profile dropdown in Ask Viq controls which sources any question is routed against.Create a ProfileOpen Profiles tab
Go to Settings → Profiles and click New Profile.
Name the Profile
Give it a descriptive name—e.g. “Marketing Stack” or “Finance Sources”.
Add sources
Select connected sources to include. A source can belong to multiple Profiles.
Save
Click Save. The Profile is immediately available in the Ask Viq dropdown.
Auto-Generate MoreClick Auto-Generate More to let Vortex IQ suggest Profiles based on the connectors in your workspace. The AI groups sources by function (e.g. all ad platforms into one Profile, all payment connectors into another). Review suggestions and save the ones that fit.Create one Profile per team or function—Marketing, Finance, Operations—so each team’s Ask Viq questions route only against their relevant data.
The Data Refresh tab controls how frequently each connected source is polled for new data.| Setting | Description |
|---|
| Refresh cadence | Per-source frequency: real-time, hourly, daily, or weekly. Cadence options vary by connector. |
| Manual refresh | Click Refresh Now on any source to trigger an immediate pull outside the schedule. |
| Throttling | Some connectors enforce API rate limits. Vortex IQ automatically throttles pulls to stay within limits. |
| Refresh history | View the last 30 days of pull events, status (success/error), and row counts per source. |
Data Refresh cadence determines how fresh every metric on every Nerve Centre dashboard is. If a KPI card shows stale data, check Refresh History for errors before contacting support.
The Brand & AI tab controls how the AI speaks and writes on your behalf across Actions, Ask Viq, and Vortex Mind reports.Brand Voice ProfilesA Brand Voice Profile defines the tone the AI uses when generating content—product descriptions, SEO copy, briefings, and bulk edits.| Field | Description |
|---|
| Voice name | Internal label for this profile (e.g. “Formal B2B”, “Casual DTC”) |
| Tone | Adjectives describing the desired writing style |
| Length preference | Short / Medium / Long for AI-generated outputs |
| Schema | Preferred content structure (e.g. bullet-led, paragraph-led) |
Global AI GuardrailsAdd words or phrases the AI must never use. Guardrails apply across all AI-generated content—Ask Viq answers, bulk content edits, SEO copy, and briefings. Common uses:
- Competitor brand names
- Legally restricted claims (“clinically proven”, “FDA approved”)
- Internal project names that should not appear in customer-facing copy
Guardrails are applied at generation time. They do not retroactively edit content already published to your store.
