The "phone today" list for the AR clerk and Controller. Each row is one invoice; columns include customer, invoice amount, days overdue, customer's total AR balance, customer credit utilisation, last-contact-date. Sized to the highest-priority horizon for AR effort: a single 50k+ invoice 60+d overdue is more important than 50 small overdue invoices combined.
Trigger thresholdInvoice WHERE amount > $50,000 AND days_overdue > 60. Threshold dollar amount configurable per merchant; defaults set for mid-market distribution.
Signal interpretationHigh-value invoices >60d overdue are typically NOT slipping through routine processes; somebody at the customer is intentionally delaying. Causes: (a) customer in financial trouble (bankruptcy precursor); (b) dispute (unresolved billing or quality issue); (c) AP team turnover at the customer; (d) the customer’s bank-line is restrictive and they are stretching payables.
Recommended action(1) Phone the customer’s AR / AP contact within 24h of alert firing. (2) Cross-reference Customer Credit Utilisation: if customer is at 100% utilisation, place new orders on credit hold. (3) Cross-reference Customer Churn Signals: if also showing churn signals, this is bankruptcy / churn precursor; escalate to credit committee.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

The same invoices show up week after week. Why? Because they remain unpaid; the alert is real-time and reflects the live AR state. Aged unpaid invoices stay on the alert until paid, written off, or sold to a collection agency. Should I write off invoices >180 days overdue? Depends on collection-agency strategy. Most merchants write off >90% of invoices >180 days old as bad debt; before that, persistent collection effort is warranted. Cross-reference your bad-debt history. Can I see this per-sales-rep for accountability? Yes via Ask Viq. Useful when sales-rep compensation is tied to collected revenue (some commission plans claw back unpaid revenue beyond N days). My OneWorld account: per-subsidiary? Yes. Each subsidiary’s overdue list runs independently. An invoice is overdue but I know the customer is paying tomorrow. Suppress? Configure a “promise to pay” custom field. Vortex IQ suppresses alerts on invoices with a future-dated promise. Auto-resolves when the date passes. **Why 50kand60dasdefaults?Empirical.>50k and 60d as defaults?** Empirical. >50k is “material” for a mid-market AR balance; <60 days is “routine” delinquency. Together, the intersection is the priority-call list. Tune per merchant.
