RollbackPro is the Vortex App that gives BigCommerce merchants something the platform itself does not: a real undo button. BigCommerce will happily let you bulk-edit a thousand product prices, then offer no native way to undo when the import file turns out to have been wrong. RollbackPro continuously backs up your store and lets you restore any record (or the entire entity type, or a hand-picked group of items) to any earlier version with a single click. If you operate a BigCommerce store and want recovery options when (inadvertently) something goes wrong with a product update, a category restructure, a coupon migration, an email-template change, or a page edit, RollbackPro is the safety net.

What RollbackPro does

RollbackPro runs three workflows on top of a continuously-updated backup of your BigCommerce store:
  1. Single-item rollback, restore one product, one category, one customer, one coupon, one page back to a previously stored version. Use it for “I edited the wrong product, undo just that one”.
  2. Point-in-time Bulk restore, restore an entire entity type (e.g. all Products) to its state at a specific date and time. Use it when a bad CSV import has overwritten hundreds of records and you need to revert all of them to a known-good moment.
Backup itself runs in two modes:
  • Real-time backup for entities BigCommerce supports webhooks on: Products, Categories, Customers, Orders, Channels, Pages, Email Templates. Changes are captured automatically as they happen.
  • Manual / scheduled backup for entities BigCommerce does not expose webhooks for: Brands, Promotions, Blog Posts, Coupons, Gift Certificates, 301 Redirects. Trigger a backup manually before any major change, or use Schedule Backups to run automated snapshots on your schedule.

What can be rolled back

ProductsVariants, options, modifiers, images, pricing, inventory, custom fields, bulk pricing, videos, reviews, channel assignments
CategoriesHierarchy, product sort rules, SEO fields, image
BrandsSEO fields, custom URL
CustomersProfiles, addresses, form fields, store credit, channel associations
CouponsDiscount rules, usage limits, restrictions
PromotionsAutomatic and coupon-based, with rules, conditions, schedule, channel targeting

Blog PostsContent, tags, SEO fields, thumbnail
Email TemplatesTransactional and abandoned-cart templates with translations
301 RedirectsSource path and destination

Orders are backed up for version-history viewing only, not restored. BigCommerce orders cannot be deleted, and restoring them could trigger customer notification emails. Order versions appear in the Restore Center for comparison and reference.

Who RollbackPro is for

ProfileWhy RollbackPro fits
Store ownersNeed recovery when an editor or contractor makes a bad change.
Catalogue managersRun frequent bulk imports and need an undo for the inevitable wrong-column-mapped CSV.
Marketing teamsEdit promotions, coupons, email templates regularly and want point-in-time recovery for “before the campaign launch”.
AgenciesNeed a safety layer beyond Git-based theme rollback to cover catalogue and configuration drift.

How RollbackPro fits in the Vortex IQ AI OS

RollbackPro is one of seven Vortex Apps. It pairs cleanly with StagingPro (also for BigCommerce): StagingPro is the safety net for deployments and migrations (you stage the change before it goes live), RollbackPro is the safety net for the live store itself (you restore individual records when something has already gone wrong). Together they cover both directions. RollbackPro is the BigCommerce-specific counterpart to Vortex Backup (Shopify) and DryRunPro (Adobe Commerce, which combines staging plus backup in one app). It cross-links into the rest of the AI OS:
  • Nerve Centre BigCommerce cards surface KPIs that often break after a catalogue or configuration regression. RollbackPro is the surface where you fix the regression.
  • Vortex Mind reports such as Daily Revenue Leakage flag a regression that originated in a botched catalogue change; RollbackPro is the recovery path.
  • Actions findings that detect “products mass-changed unexpectedly” route the merchant into the RollbackPro Restore Center.
  • Ask Viq can answer “what changed in my BigCommerce catalogue today?” by reading RollbackPro change logs.
