At a glance

Etsy Suspended Listings (24h) counts listings Etsy has taken down in the last 24 hours. Etsy suspends listings for reasons such as handmade or vintage policy violations, prohibited materials, or trademark and intellectual-property complaints, and a suspended listing earns nothing and disappears from search instantly. An Etsy seller cares because a suspension can signal a wider policy problem that may threaten more listings or the shop itself if left unaddressed. Good looks like 0 suspensions in the window; bad looks like any non-zero count, and a cluster of suspensions in one day is a strong signal that a category of listings or a sourcing decision has tripped a policy rule.

Calculation

Vortex IQ tracks listing status changes reported by Etsy and counts those that move into a suspended or removed state within the trailing 24 hours. The card reflects Etsy’s own enforcement actions, not your manual deactivations, so it isolates takedowns you did not initiate. Because the window is short and rolling, the count naturally clears as suspensions age out past 24 hours, which keeps the card focused on what needs attention today rather than a historical tally.

Worked example

Illustrative numbers. On 14 Jun 26 a craft-supply seller sees the card spike from 0 to 6 overnight. Reviewing the affected listings, all six share a popular character name in their titles and tags, and Etsy has acted on a trademark complaint. The seller removes the protected term from titles, tags, and descriptions across the range, re-checks similar listings before they are flagged too, and contacts Etsy support to clarify any remaining items. They open Vortex Mind to trace whether the six share a common keyword or supplier so the fix can be applied once rather than item by item, then ask Ask Viq, “which suspended listings mention the same brand word,” to confirm the pattern.

Reconciling against Etsy Shop Manager

Where to look in Etsy Shop Manager: Open Shop Manager > Listings and filter for inactive or removed status to find the affected items, and check Shop Manager for any policy notices or messages from Etsy explaining the action. The Help and account-status pages will note any wider enforcement. Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ: Cross-connector reconciliation: If the same product range is also flagged on another marketplace, open Vortex Mind to investigate whether a shared sourcing or naming decision triggered enforcement in more than one place.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Q: Does this include listings I deactivated myself? No. The card tracks Etsy-initiated suspensions and removals, not listings you ended or set to inactive, so a non-zero value always points to an enforcement action worth reviewing. Q: A listing was reinstated, why does it still show? There can be a short lag between Etsy restoring a listing and the status syncing. The card clears the count once the reinstatement is reflected, or once the suspension ages out of the 24-hour window. Q: Why does my Etsy Shop Manager show a different number? Usually a window-boundary or filter-scope difference: Shop Manager shows the full history of inactive and removed listings regardless of when it happened, while this card only counts suspensions inside the rolling 24-hour window. Q: Can I customise the alert threshold? Yes. Alert thresholds are configurable per profile in the Alert Rules tab. The default alerts on any suspension, but you can raise the bar if you want to be notified only when a cluster appears in a single window.
