At a glance

Revenue at Risk (live) is the running dollar value of orders and listings exposed to a near-term problem, such as a late shipment, an open dispute, a suspended listing, or a sold-elsewhere conflict. Any figure above zero is worth a look.

Calculation

Vortex IQ sums the sale value of every Mercari order or listing currently carrying a near-term risk flag: orders approaching or past the ship-by deadline, orders with an open dispute or cancellation request, listings suspended by Mercari, and items flagged as potentially sold elsewhere. Each at-risk item is counted at its order or listing price, and the total updates as items enter or clear their risk state. An item counts once even if it carries more than one flag.

Worked example

A representative reading of Revenue at Risk (live) for a typical Mercari reseller. On 16 Jun 26 a homeware reseller sees the card read 214,trippingthe>214, tripping the `>0` alert. Drilling in shows a 120mirrorwithanopendisputeoverachipnotshowninphotos,a120 mirror with an open dispute over a chip not shown in photos, a 64 lamp one day from its ship-by deadline, and a $30 listing suspended for a prohibited keyword. The seller responds to the dispute with photos, ships the lamp the same afternoon, and edits the listing to clear the suspension, pulling the card back toward zero by the next refresh. Cross-reference Pending Shipment to see how much of the risk is dispatch-driven and the dispute rate to gauge whether claims are trending up. When the figure climbs, Vortex Mind traces upstream causes such as a fulfilment lag or a policy flag, and Ask Viq answers plain-English questions like “what is the single biggest order putting my revenue at risk right now?”

Reconciling against Mercari

Where to look in Mercari’s own dashboard: There is no single at-risk total in Mercari’s own views. The contributing signals live across your To Do list for ship-by deadlines, your messages and order pages for disputes, and notification banners for suspended listings. This card consolidates those into one figure, so reconcile by adding up the values of the flagged items you find in each place. Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ: Cross-connector reconciliation: If an item is flagged as sold elsewhere, compare against your other sales channels to confirm the conflict. Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Q: How often does Revenue at Risk (live) update? It refreshes on the standard Vortex IQ data refresh, recalculating as orders and listings enter or leave a risk state. Q: Why does my Mercari dashboard show a different number? Mercari has no equivalent single total. This card aggregates several risk signals that Mercari surfaces in separate places, so the only way to match it is to add up the flagged items across each view. Q: Does an item with two problems get counted twice? No. Each at-risk order or listing is counted once at its sale price, even if it carries multiple flags such as a late ship-by and an open dispute, so the total reflects unique dollars at risk. Q: Can I customise the alert threshold? Yes, alert thresholds are configurable per profile in the Alert Rules tab. Adjust to match your business baseline rather than relying on the generic default.
