At a glance

Total Listings is the full count of item listings in your Bonanza booth, including active, inactive, and expired. On Bonanza, this is the size of your catalogue as a whole, not just what shoppers can buy today. Read it next to Active Listings to see how much of your catalogue is actually live versus dormant. It is the baseline figure for the other Listing Health cards.
What it countsEvery item listing in the booth, including active, inactive, and expired.
Sample typeBackend API data from Bonanza, refreshed on the standard data refresh.
Why it mattersIt frames the size of your catalogue and the denominator for every share-based listing metric, so you can judge how much of it is live and how much sits idle.
Reading the valueRead it as a total count, and against Active Listings. A large gap between the two means much of the catalogue is inactive or expired.

Calculation

Vortex IQ counts every item listing in the booth regardless of status, summing active, inactive, and expired listings into one total, refreshed in real time. The figure rises as you add listings and falls when listings are deleted, but expiring or going inactive does not reduce it. It differs from Active Listings, which counts only the listings currently live and buyable. Because it is a structural count rather than a performance signal, there is no alert threshold. See the At a glance summary above and the worked example below for a typical reading.

Worked example

A representative reading of Total Listings for a typical merchant on Bonanza. On 14 Mar 26 a booth showed 1,400 total listings while Active Listings read 1,050, leaving roughly 350 inactive or expired. The interpretation was that about a quarter of the catalogue was not buyable, a mix of seasonal items and listings that had quietly expired. The action was to review the inactive set, relist the lines still worth carrying, and retire the rest to keep the catalogue clean. Vortex Mind traces the upstream cause behind a shift in the count, here a batch of expirations, and Ask Viq lets you ask “how many of my listings are not active” in plain English.

Reconciling against Bonanza

Where to look in Bonanza’s own dashboard: Open your booth dashboard and review the selling and items area with the status filter cleared, so active, inactive, and expired listings all show. That all-status count is what Vortex IQ reports as Total Listings. Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ:
ReasonDirectionWhat to do
Period boundary. Vortex IQ counts in real time; Bonanza dashboards may group listings by calendar periods.VariableMatch the period range.
Time zone. Bonanza uses account time zone; Vortex IQ aligns to merchant reporting time zone.MarginalConfirm time zone match.
Filter scope. Profile-level filters (booth, channel, test orders) may narrow the Vortex IQ view.VariableMatch filter settings.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Q: How often does Total Listings update? It recalculates on the standard data refresh, typically every 30 to 60 minutes, and tracks the catalogue in real time. Force a manual refresh from the dashboard if you need the latest count immediately. Q: Why does my Bonanza dashboard show a different number? The most common reason is filter scope: if your Bonanza view is filtered to active listings only, it will read lower than Total Listings, which includes inactive and expired. Time-zone alignment and period boundaries can also nudge the figure. Q: How is this different from Active Listings? Total Listings counts every listing regardless of status, while Active Listings counts only those currently live and buyable. The gap between them is your inactive and expired inventory, which is worth reviewing periodically. Q: Can I customise the alert threshold? Yes, sensitivity thresholds are configurable per profile in the Sensitivity tab. Adjust to match your business baseline rather than relying on the generic default.
