At a glance

Pending Shipment is the count of orders awaiting dispatch right now, across all your Fruugo country marketplaces. It is the live backlog gauge that tells you whether dispatch is keeping pace with demand. The default alert fires when it climbs above twice your 30-day average, which is the early warning that a fulfilment backlog is forming before it turns into late shipments and account-health damage.
What it countsThe number of orders currently accepted but not yet dispatched, across all Fruugo country marketplaces.
Sample typeLive snapshot of the open dispatch queue.
Why it mattersA growing backlog is the leading indicator of late shipments and disputes. Catching it early protects your on-time rate and account standing.
Reading the valueLower is healthier, but judge it against your normal baseline. A reading above twice the 30-day average means the queue is building faster than you can clear it.

Calculation

The card counts orders that have been accepted but not yet marked as dispatched at the moment of the snapshot, across every active Fruugo country marketplace. The alert compares the live count against a rolling 30-day average of the same backlog, firing when the current queue exceeds twice that baseline.

Worked example

A representative reading of Pending Shipment for a typical merchant on Fruugo. Imagine a merchant whose 30-day average backlog sits around 18 open orders, then the live count jumps to 47, tripping the 2x alert (illustrative figures). No SLA has been breached yet, which is the point of watching the backlog rather than the misses. Vortex Mind investigates and finds the surge came from an overnight demand spike in two countries combined with a warehouse staff member off sick. Ask Viq answers “what is in my pending queue and where is it going” with the country and age breakdown, so the merchant can prioritise the oldest orders and add a shift before any order crosses its ship-by deadline.

Reconciling against Fruugo Merchant Portal

Where to look in Fruugo’s own dashboard: In the Fruugo Merchant Portal, open the orders area and filter to orders awaiting dispatch or in a to-be-shipped state. That open-order queue is the authoritative count this card mirrors in real time. Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ:
ReasonDirectionWhat to do
Snapshot timing: an order dispatched seconds before or after the snapshot moves the count by oneEitherRefresh both views together; small live counts move constantly.
Vortex IQ counts every accepted-but-undispatched order, while a portal filter may exclude orders still pending payment confirmationVortex IQ higherMatch the order-status filter on both sides, including or excluding payment-pending orders.
An order cancelled while still in the queue leaves it on both sides at slightly different timesEitherRe-check after cancellations settle to confirm the queue figure.
Cross-connector reconciliation: Read this with fru_on_time_ship_rate and fru_alert_dispatch_sla_miss to see whether a backlog is already converting into misses, and let Vortex Mind tie the spike back to a demand surge or a capacity gap.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Q: How often does this number update? It is a live snapshot of the dispatch queue, so it moves in near real time as new orders arrive and as you mark orders dispatched. Q: Why does the Fruugo Merchant Portal show a different pending count? Usually it is the order-status filter and snapshot timing: the portal view may exclude orders still pending payment confirmation that this card counts, and the live count shifts second by second as orders dispatch. Q: How does this relate to On-Time Shipping Rate and Late Shipments? Pending Shipment is the leading indicator: a backlog here precedes a drop in fru_on_time_ship_rate and a rise in fru_alert_dispatch_sla_miss. Clearing the queue early keeps those two healthy. Q: Can I change the 2x average alert threshold? Yes. The 2x-of-30-day-average default is configurable, both the multiple and the baseline window. Merchants with tight ship-by windows often lower the multiple so the alert fires on a smaller backlog.
