At a glance

Total Listings is the count of every listing you have submitted to Fruugo across all states, active, reviewing, and rejected, measured before Fruugo fans each one out into localised versions per country. Because Fruugo localises a single submitted listing into many country-and-language variants, this is the catalogue-size baseline that the active, rejected, and per-country counts are all measured against. Sitting in the Listing Health category, it is the denominator owners and operations use to judge how much of the catalogue is actually selling.
What it countsEvery listing submitted to Fruugo regardless of state, active, reviewing, or rejected, counted once before localisation fan-out.
Sample typeLive snapshot of submitted-listing count.
Why it mattersIt is the baseline the health cards measure against; a sudden change signals a bulk feed event worth understanding.
Reading the valueA stable number is normal. A jump or drop usually reflects a feed change adding or removing products rather than a status problem.

Calculation

The card counts the distinct listings you have submitted to Fruugo, including those that are active, those held for review, and those rejected, taken at the submitted level before Fruugo expands each into per-country localised variants. Because it counts every state, it is a measure of catalogue size rather than catalogue health.

Worked example

A representative reading of Total Listings for a typical merchant on Fruugo. Suppose the card reads 4,200 total listings on 12 Mar 26, up from 3,800 a week earlier (illustrative figures). The jump is expected: a new range was pushed in the feed. But if active listings did not rise by the same amount, some of the new submissions are stuck in reviewing or rejected. Vortex Mind investigates and finds 300 of the 400 new listings went live while 100 sit in review on a missing attribute. Ask Viq “how many of my newly added listings actually went live this week” returns the split in plain English, so operations knows the catalogue grew but a slice still needs attention before it sells.

Reconciling against Fruugo Merchant Portal

Where to look in Fruugo’s own dashboard: Open the Fruugo Merchant Portal and review the products or listings management area, where the full catalogue is listed with its status filters. Counting all statuses together gives the authoritative total to compare against this card. Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ:
ReasonDirectionWhat to do
Snapshot timing relative to the twice-daily feed importEitherRe-check after the next import cycle; a feed add or removal in flight can leave the counts briefly out of step.
Counting level: Vortex IQ counts submitted listings before localisation fan-out, the portal may display per-country localised variantsVortex IQ lowerConfirm whether the portal view is showing submitted listings or localised variants before comparing totals.
Filter scope: the portal view may exclude rejected or archived listings by defaultVortex IQ higherSet the portal filter to include all statuses, since this card counts active, reviewing, and rejected together.
Cross-connector reconciliation: If the total moves unexpectedly, cross-reference fru_active_listings and fru_rejected_listings to see whether the change is healthy growth or listings stuck in review, then let Vortex Mind trace it to the originating feed event.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Q: How often does this number update? It refreshes in near real time as a live snapshot, but the catalogue itself only changes when Fruugo’s twice-daily feed import adds or removes products, so the total tends to step at import cycles rather than drift continuously. Q: Why does the Fruugo Merchant Portal show a different total? The most common causes are the counting level and filter scope. Vortex IQ counts submitted listings before localisation fan-out and includes every status, whereas the portal may show per-country variants or hide rejected and archived listings by default. Q: How does this relate to Active Listings and Rejected / Reviewing Listings? This card is the whole catalogue; fru_active_listings is the sellable portion and fru_rejected_listings is the blocked portion. Total minus active and minus rejected tells you how much is still in review. Q: Can I set an alert on this card? This card ships without a default alert, but the threshold is configurable. Many merchants add a “notify me if total listings changes by more than N” rule so an unexpected bulk feed add or removal is flagged rather than discovered later.
