Metrics type: Card

At a glance

Top 10 Customers by 90-day revenue. Concentration check. The classic Pareto lens for Sales conversation.

Calculation

Calculated automatically from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 data. See the At a glance summary above for what the metric tracks and the worked example below for a typical reading.

Worked example

US distributor on BC, 90D window 14 Jan to 13 Apr 26. Top 10 = 61% of revenue. Top 1 = 22%. Concentration risk: losing Acme would create a 22% revenue hole. Treasury should ensure adequate facilities; sales team should diversify.

Sibling cards merchants should reference together

Reconciling against the vendor’s own dashboard

Where to look in Business Central:
Reports > Sales > Top 10 Customer List Power BI > Sales Insights > Top Customers tile
Why may differ: Cross-connector reconciliation: For DTC, pair with shopify.top_customers. Shopify’s anonymous customers may not match BC.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Concentration threshold for risk? Top 1 > 20% = high single-customer risk. Top 10 > 70% = high concentration; diversify or hedge. Top 10 vs Top 25? Card defaults to 10. Configurable. Multi-Company: same customer in two Companies? Aggregated by Customer No. across Companies. If your tenant has duplicate Customer No. semantics, configure dedup in field map. Anonymous DTC customers? DTC customers without a BC Customer record (handled via “DTC Default” customer) bucketed together; can be excluded from concentration calc. Privacy Blocked customers? Shown as “[Privacy Blocked]” per BC’s privacy controls.
