Locate is the warehouse-side surface of 247CloudHub, the multichannel commerce console of Vortex IQ. It runs the supply-side of the operation: where stock is held, who supplies it, what is on order, what was received, and what is owed to suppliers. The action verb is [Locate], because the central question this surface answers is “where is the stock and who is bringing more.” Locate connects upstream to suppliers and inbound logistics, and downstream to the [Deliver] (Orders) workflow that ships out to customers. Sit at the centre of multichannel ops, and Locate is the half of the operation that the Analyse Inventory Age and Products reports describe in retrospect.

The Warehouse Graphical Dashboard

Path: Home, Locate, Warehouse Graphical Dashboard. The dashboard is the headline view that opens by default. Two side-by-side panels:
PanelWhat it shows
Supplier SKU CountEach supplier with the count of unique SKUs sourced from them
Purchase Order Status Created TodayEach supplier with the count of POs raised today
Use cases:
  1. Supplier concentration check. A single supplier dominating Supplier SKU Count is a concentration risk. Diversify the supplier base if any one row is more than 30 percent of the total.
  2. Daily PO sanity check. A working day with zero POs raised against any supplier is a process miss; a day with abnormally many POs is worth a manager review to confirm volumes and prices.
  3. Buying-team workload distribution. Cross-reference with the user audit on each PO to see which buyer is raising what.
The dashboard is the morning open for the warehouse manager. The detail pages below it are where the actual work happens.

How merchants use the Locate module

Three patterns we see daily:
  1. The PO loop, supplier review, raise PO, supplier acknowledges, goods receive, invoice match. This is the day-to-day cycle that keeps stock flowing in. See Purchase Orders and Suppliers.
  2. The stock-location loop, warehouse setup, aisle/shelf/bin definition, SKU-to-bin mapping, stocktake reconciliation. The fixed-asset side of the warehouse. See Stock Locations.
  3. The audit loop, every quantity change is logged, queryable by SKU, traceable back to the user or system action that caused it. See Stock Movement Log.

Common questions

Do I need to use Locate if I am FBA-only? If 100 percent of your orders ship from Amazon FBA warehouses, Locate is optional, since the warehousing is Amazon’s side. You still benefit from Suppliers Management and Accounts Payable for the buying-side relationships, even if the goods land at FBA. Most multichannel sellers run a mix of FBA, self-fulfilled, and 3PL stock, and Locate is the only console that unifies all three. Can I run multiple warehouses? Yes. Add as many warehouses as you need under Warehouse and Stock Locations, then assign orders to a warehouse via the workflow. The Order Stages report and Customer Services console show the assigned warehouse per order. Where does CloudHub keep the source of truth for stock? CloudHub holds the unified stock count in the Common Inventory. Each marketplace and webstore syncs from the Common Inventory according to the configured Optimise Profiles. Goods received on a PO update the Common Inventory; sales on any channel decrement it. Is the Stock Movement Log audit-grade? The log records every quantity change with a user, source, and timestamp. It is the operational audit trail, and it is the basis on which the Inventory Age report and the year-end stock provision are calculated. Finance teams use it to support the end-of-year stocktake reconciliation.
